Learning to Shine ~ Best Shot Monday

I fully intended to post this picture (among others) for Stacy’s playtime theme last week, but [insert excuse].  I did have the chance to play around with PS a little more this week/weekend and I’d like to say I’m starting to get it, but I think that’s being generous.  There are still SO many things that happen that I don’t know I could duplicate.

I followed the steps in this tutorialto build more a different type of frame and I think it worked relatively well.  I’m still playing with borders and such.  I believe the image itself is SOOC (so I could have played along with Melody on Saturday too, but [insert different excuse]).  I was SO excited to get this shot!  We just replaced the batteries in Calder’s little toy (first and last time since they were already dying a few hours later!) and I took this in near darkness using my remote.  So, a few days late and in under the wire tonight…here’s my best shot for this fine Monday (it’s even better big)!

Flashy Toy

Zip on over to Tracey’s to see what’s lighting up others’ lives this week!

  1. 1) Keep using PS and keep a “Photo & PS Only” Notebook next to the computer so you can take notes.
    2) The second “i” in Infinity is in this computer’s resolution. Might need to figure something else out with the font.
    3) Nice pic, sis.

  2. This is great! I love it — its such great composition, especially since only the toy shows up in the darkness. And your border looks really nice too. I keep thinking that I need to do something like that — so thanks for the link to some directions!
