I was hoping for….

a loss of about a pound, since I was approaching my third weigh in and figured I’d be hitting a slow-down here soon.  So imagine my surprise (and delight) when I had a 4 pound weight loss this week!  I’m noticing a difference in how my clothes fit and tonight I ran 2 miles on the treadmill and I wasn’t crazy out of breath.  I’ve decided I’d do much better if I could just race from my treadmill, with no hills and no weather and a belt that keep propelling me forward and squeaks when I slow down too much and near the end.  But alas, I cannot.  My knees were a little sore, but not like they have been.  I’m hoping to run again tomorrow to try to better my time from today (no, I’m not going to share that because it’s still a little embarrassing!).

We’re closing in on about 2 weeks until race day.  Here’s to a great hope that I’m able to carve out time to run once school starts up!
